Chae Myung-shin (채명신, 蔡命新; November 27, 1926 – November 25, 2013) was a Republic of Korea Army general and Commanding Officer of ROK forces in Vietnam (ROKFV) during the Vietnam War.

Chae Myung-shin commanded ''Skeleton Corps'', guerrilla corps during the Korean War, and became the authority on guerrilla tactics of the South Korean Army.
Chae commented on South Korean comfort women units during the Korean War in his memoir ''Beyond the Deadline'' () published in 1994.
